 Council Events

          Tipisa Lodge, Order of the Arrow presents the Native
       American Weekend (TNAW) 2012,
February 10-12, 2012

             Activites will include leatherwork projects, beading, chokers to build, pottery, Dutch
             oven cooking, dancing, drumming, blacksmithing, flint knapping, stories, history, atlatl
             spear and tomahawk throwing, blowguns, archery, Friday Show and a
             Saturday Pow-Wow plus much more.

      Central Florida Council Adventure Camp Committee
                
This committee will comprise of scouts and scouters who are interested in building and
            providing staff for the future development of COPE, Alpine Tower, Climbing, ATV and
            PWC program areas at our camp.

                Interested scouts and scouters whould attend one of three initial regional meetings held:

                Tuesday, January 24th at 7PM at the Central Florida Council Service Center or
                Wednesday, January 25th at 7PM at the LDS Church (Rockledge Ward) or
                Tuesday, January 31st at 7PM at the Daytona Beach Police Department

Local Community Events with Scouting

     Orlando Magic Central Florida Council Scouting Nights,
     January 17th and February 1st.

       
Come join the Central Florida Council at the Amway Center as we watch the Orlando
          Magic compete against the Charlotte Bobcats (January 17th) and 
the Washington

     Cub Scouting, February 25th at the Kennedy Space Center
     Visitor Complex.
           Participants will have full access to KSC Visitor Complex shows and exhibits, enjoy a 3D IMAX
          space film, tour the U.S. Astronaut Hall of Fame, attend a private interactive briefing about
          NASA’s latest mission and meet an Astronaut.  Admission is $45.00 a person plus tax and
          includes activites from 9:30am to 4:30pm, lunch

    March 3, 2012.

   
    Play your part as Cub Scouts fight fires at LEGO City Rescue Academy, conquer the Dragon
          coaster as Cub Scouts return to a time of knights and castles, feel like a Cub Scout giant as
          you walk through Miniland USA featuring incredibly detailed cities built out of millions of
          LEGO bricks and participate in the Ford Driving School, Cub Scouts drive LEGO themed cars

      Houston Astros Boy Scouts Day - March 3rd at Osceola
     Heritage Park starting at 1:05pm

     
Come enjoy a Spring Training Game watching the Houston Astros vs. Washington Nationals. 
          Participate in the Parade of Packs and Troops, run the bases after the game and earn a belt
          loop, pin or merit badge.  Booths will be covering cooking, collecting, baseball, good
          manners, weather, computer, photography.

      Medieval Times Scout Month - May 2012
          Medieval Times wants to recognize all Scouts for thier hard work and dedication!  Get ready
          to embark on a medieval adventure as you journey back to the 11th century.  Enjoy the
          splendor and excitement that would have been yours as a royal guest centuries ago.  Scouts,
          Leaders and children (3-12) - $28.75 per person
          Additional family members (13 and up) - $31.25 per person
          Explore the only existing Medieval Life Village that exists in North America.  Stroll through

           A sneak peak at how we keep the park running smoohtly everyday.  Wet'n Wild experts
           will show you how we create our famous waves along with other fun, behind-the-scenes
           information, complimented with hands on activities.  Participants will indulge in a all you
           can eat breakfast and recieve an exclusive Wet'n Wild event patch.  The program begins
