District Training
Training for New Leaders!!
If you are a new Boy Scout or Cub Scout Leader, please go to the following website, http://olc.scouting.org/, and take all 3 of the following courses: (1) Leader Fast Start (Cub Scout or Boy Scout), (2) This Is Scouting and (3) Youth Protection Training. The site will guide you through setting up an account and profile. When you receive you Membership Number, you can go back and add it to your profile.
*Youth Protection Training is required before you can register as an Adult Leader!*
Once you have completed these three online courses, you are almost a trained adult leader, but before you have earned the 'Trained' Patch, you must complete the following courses:
For Boy Scout Leaders:
Boy Scout Leader Specific Traing (for all adult leaders)
Boy Scout Introduction to Outdoor Skills (Scoutmasters and Assistant Scoutmasters)
Troop Committee Challenge (for Troop Committee Members) an online course
For Cub Scout Leaders:
Basic Adult Leader Outdoor Orientation (BALOO)
Cub Scout Leader Specific Training (for all adult leaders)
Basic Unit Commissioner Training

Boy Scout Outdoor Leader Skill Training
April 13-15, 6pm Friday through 2pm Sunday.
Camp La-No-Che Group Site
(41940 Boy Scout Road; Paisley, FLorida 32767)
Learn the skills you will be teaching Scouts such as: camp setup, how to use wood tools, fire building techniques, how to use lanterns and stoves, cooking techniques, basic first aid, knot tying, pioneering, orienteering, pack and hiking techniques, plant and animal identification, etc.
